The RAPID GLX Holz glazing bead saw is perfectly adapted for cutting wooden glazing beads in window and door manufacturing.
Maximum dimensional and angular accuracy is guaranteed when cutting two glazing beads simultaneously in a single clamping setup using 45/45-degree miter cuts.
GLX Wood with combination clamping system
The combination clamping system ensures secure clamping and positioning of the glazing beads—both vertically and horizontally—thereby guaranteeing optimal cutting results. Four vertical clamping cylinders—two per profile strip, positioned to the left and right of the cutting gap—can be fitted with various interchangeable pressure pads adapted to the specific profile shapes.
Horizontal pressure plates are split into two sections and clamp each glazing bead individually. To accommodate the widest possible range of profile widths, spacers (horizontal pressure blocks) of varying thicknesses are used. Narrow spacers are suitable for profile widths of 14 to 45 mm. Wide spacers are used for even narrower glazing bead sizes; these enable the clamping and sawing of wooden glazing beads ranging from 0 to 35 mm. All pressure blocks and spacers feature a rubber coating and leave no marks on delicate wood surfaces.
The counter profiles feature a groove for the rabbeting strips. The groove width can vary depending on the profile system. The combination of a reliable clamping system and profile-specific components ensures optimal mitering and a clean cut.
