Automation in the cutting of special elements with the SGS-ML

Profile cutting in the production of special elements in window industry is usually associated with manual processes and a great deal of required time. An investment in fully automated solutions is rarely reasonable, as the proportion of special elements is often low. In times of Industry 4.0, however, each producer want to ensure the rational error-free processes which are based on the automatic data exchange between work preparation and machine control as well as on the reliably executed machine positioning.

The SGS-ML precision miter saw from Rapid offers a combination of the highest precision and CNC-assisted flexibility, especially for special constructions.

Currently the most popular equipment version of the Rapid SGS-ML allows automatic stepless positioning for cutting lengths as well as any angle from 15 ° to 165 °. The network connection enables automatic transfer of the cutting data sets. Several procedures can be done in parallel. While the machine is positioned fully automatically, the operator can remove and sort finished parts and check the progress of the order processing.

If required, the machine can be also equipped with the options radio transmission, barcode reader and label printer. Other extras, such as the laser cutting line display or the automatic opening and closing of the protective cover, facilitate handling and speed up the work processes.
